Former Lagos Police Commissioner, Edgal Imohimi Appointed As New SARS Boss

Imohimi Edgal has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police in charge of the Nigeria Police Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad (FSARS).

Edgal is the former Commissioner of Police who was in charge of Lagos State between September 2017 and March, 2019 before he was redeployed to the Force Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Bibian Anekwe News recalls Edgal, a well-known crime-buster was responsible for the operation that led to the stoppage of the activities of the dreaded Badoo cult in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.

Following his latest appointment as the SARS boss by the Inspector-General of Police, it is hoped that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear in repositioning the image and activities of the SARS operatives.

Edgal has also released some special complaint hotlines that can be used by citizens to report excesses of SARS operatives across the country.
