Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has continued to ensure a peaceable approach for the reconciliation of the aggrieved party members across the 36 states of the federation. Part of, was his engagement with the Saraki’s led reconciliation committee recently at the Sokoto state governor’s lodge in Abuja. Gov. Ugwuanyi’s involvement in this cause and for the stability of the national leadership of the party was recorded to be huge success, having suggested to the reconciliation committee the best way to go.
However, recall that the PDP southeast zone, had few months ago surrendered its structures and party machineries to the governor, thereby noting that H.E Ugwuanyi posses the genuine character to lead the party at the zonal level having placed on good record, the monumental achievements of the governor in party politics and as well as his determination to ensure peace & security, transparency, accountability and good governance in Enugu state. This was the indices the PDP southeast came together and resolved to beg the governor to lead them, especially in this time of our nationhood where the country is seriously clamouring for a detrabalized Nigerian.
Therefore, the PDP has sought for Gov. Ugwuanyi’s magic wand and his presence in today’s emergency meeting of the governors, dully elected under its platform holding in Benue state Nigeria. Its not out of quote to say that Gov. Ugwuanyi is the symbol of unity in PDP and a trusted party leader who has never considered his personal interest to be so conflicting in party mechanism, but rather has continue to display total commitment, strong will, resilience, reliability and responsibility to see that PDP remains a very strong united family. Meanwhile the PDP is left with no choice to value and appreciate these sacrifices and uncommon zeal by the governor, to stemmed what could have been an earthquake in the party by her prominent members who had billed to defects to the ruling APC.
It’s equally on record that Gov. Ugwuanyi is the only PDP governor who has continue to finance the party not only in Enugu state but to also in the five southeast states of the region and even beyond. It is therefore become very important for the party not for whatever reasons, tries to negotiate the governor’s loyalty and commitment to the party with any other conflicting interests or arrangement that may spell doom for party in the southeast, especially now that the party is working hard to bounce to power in 2023. Because many political parties are praying to have the governor in their folds. Let PDP not make this mistake, and should they in anyway nursing such ambition, it will be the end of PDP in entire southeast region.
Gov. Ugwuanyi is the hope of the PDP in the region, to remain an indisoluble family before and after 2023.
